PATENTED BALL-JOINT LOCK
The patented ball-joint lock on the SUPER48 Retractable Heavy Duty Key Holder keeps your keys securely at your side while not in use. Like our other models, the SUPER48 will only retract the amount of weight specified on the retraction force, but the ball-joint will allow you to exceed the retraction force and lock your keys when you're not using them so they don't sag.

The SUPER48 features a retractable cord, made with DuPont™ Kevlar® fiber. The SUPER48 comes in 3 different retraction forces, a 48" Kevlar Cord with 8 oz. retraction, a 36" Kevlar Cord with 13 oz. retraction and the 28" Kevlar Cord with 20 oz. of retraction.
BELT CLIP OR LEATHER LOOP
There are two attachments available with the SUPER48. There is a steel belt clip option that fits belts up to 1.8" and locks into a belt loop with the an included pin. There is also our leather duty belt loop option that fits belts up to 2.25" duty belts most common in law enforcement.

I like it
Very well made, but with one serious flaw: EXTREMELY difficult to fasten key chain housing to belt or pants BECAUSE the plastic clip sits against an elevated stopper and the hard plastic stopper becomes a serious impediment to clipping it on. I had to file down the stopper housing. Ridiculous.
I’ve had two. Both broke within a year. Same spot.

I need to have alot of keys immediately available to me at my job. This Key-Bac is reliable and sturdy!
I was given one of the Xtreme versions of this by a co-worker, since he'd ordered 3 (thinking that they'd break over time, but his first one never did)... I used that thing continually at work... my employer was lock-crazy... locks on every door, elevator locks, escalator locks... I likely pulled the keys out about 200 times per day, being on the watch.
The locking knob broke due to the stress of three heavy keyrings (more than 30 keys) constantly swinging as I walked more than 20 miles per day, so I cut it off the cord very carefully with a Dremel because it was abrading the cord each time I pulled the keys out. The bottom part of the plastic part that holds the key ring got crushed and cracked during some heavy work... I cut it off the cord, tied the cord around a small washer, dabbed some superglue on the knot so it couldn't come undone, put the key rings through the washer, and it worked as good as new. 10 years of use and it's still usable. I'll use it until the cord snaps (then I'll install a new cord) or until the spring snaps (then I'll install a new spring).
