I need a heavy duty reel and this wasn't it. Otherwise it's a great item.

I work in Healthcare and most badge reels I have owned before last no longer than another before the string or clip breaks. These are not only durable but the strap that holds the badge is not plastic! Its some kind of magical vinyl that will definitely not rip over time. This is my go to brand from now on!

I have bought retractable lanyards before and they didn't hold up.... but when I found this company, and explained the problems we were having with ours, they recommended these. Huge difference! Never a single problem with any of them now! When we ended up hiring more staff, we didn't bother running to the big box store... we contacted this company once again and ordered more!

I bought the SIDEKICK® TWIST-FREE CARABINER RETRACTABLE KEYCHAIN on Amazon, which made it easy to verify how long it's been in service. Yesterday while heading to my barn it finally failed. The Kevlar line detached at the keys end. It lasted one week shy of SIX YEARS PLUS ONE MONTH! I used it nearly everyday. New one arrives tomorrow but the local locksmith told me that this retractable keychain may have a lifetime warranty so I'll be looking into that. OVER 6 years and around $10.

To be fair, I've only this about a month or so, but so far, it's holding up quite well.

As an ER Trauma nurse, I need a badge buddy that can keep up. The SIDEKICK is able to hold multiple badge buddies and keys without drooping. Completely satisfied, but the housing broke in half 2 months after the warranty expired. 4 stars as I wish it lasted longer.

It does what its intended to but the tether cord is already wearing out and its not like im using it all day and pulling on it all the time. Kind of disappointed in the quality

It's nice to have my badge and work key at hand without having to dig through my pockets. Build quality is top notch too. This isn't some cheap crap you get as a freebie from work.

I received a Key-Bak years ago and the clip broke. I finally remembered the name and ordered more. I use it for my scan cards, so I am use it daily. Still love the durability & design. My one small issue is the spring on the clip, it might break again, but I ordered plenty. Other than that awesome product, I like it very much and recommend it to co-workers!

Overall, I am pleased with this sturdy badge holder. After almost one year of use, the lanyard and retractable badge reel have held up to dozens of pulls each day, with no sign of wear or fatigue. However, the snap on the vinyl badge holder failed after just two months of use. I tried to hold the snap together with some electrical tape, but that eventually failed as well. So, I moved my badges to the split ring instead.

The cords keep pulling out of the break-away lugs rendering these very non-secure. Would NOT recommend.

It's a great product and did what was expected, however, we misjudged the weight of the multiple cards cards and badges we wanted to use it for and it did not retract all the way. Definitely not a product issue! We will probably order a more heavy duty one when we know how many badges/IDs will actually have to be carried.

Pull it out. It goes right back in. Out and back in. It goes in and then when you need to use it it pulls out and back in. Each and every single time. Out then in.

I ordered these badge reels for my girlfriend who is a nurse. They are very high quality and I'm sure they will last for years. I ordered them specifically because they were made in the USA! As an American factory worker I want to thank you for keeping things like these made in this country! The Wuhan Coronavirus has definitely pulled back the curtain and shown just how much out manufacturing capability has been gutted out in the last 40 years and how dependent we are on foreign entities. So thank you again for continuing to make great products in this great country! My girlfriend who uses these badge reels everyday loves them!

The Badge Reel with Carabiner offers security that my room key card is always with me. Have used it for 24 days and it works like a charm. Love it!

Until now it's been the best product I've bought, it's very strong, it has survived unexpected harsh pulls and hits. The only issue and the only reason I don't give 5 stars is that is pretty big and long, so it hangs way too much, and if you're walking fast or running it's jumping all over the place, maybe the belt clip was a better option for me.

I bought this item to have a sturdier carabiner for my work badge. It is sturdy and does not seem like it will break any time soon. The reel has a lot of tension compared to other carbiners, which I don't really like. And it is longer than I expected - the length causes your badge to swing quite a bit. It will hit walls or anything you are close to regularly. It does the job, but I'm not completely satisfied with it.

This item is great! I got it because my aliigator-clip style reel would get snagged on my uniform, chairs, and doors and fall off leaving me scrambling to recover my pass card. The carabiner is secure, convenient, and compact.

I couldnt give it 5 stars just for the simple fact that its not as strong when it retracts.

This is the second time I’ve purchased Key-Bak products. Nothing but satisfied.

I've had a KeyBack for 8 years. While recommending it to a colleague I notice the string seemed frayed. I ordered a new Heavy Duty but the reel is smaller than the old and doesn't seem as strong. Hopefully I received the correct one. Gave 5 stars based on the old one. Hopefully this one holds up

Slightly bigger then I expected but got used to it and love it for its sturdiness!

The old way of keeping my name badge and slide keys on a lanyard was unsanitary as a maintenance professional. Also, it could be very dangerous to have a lanyard around my neck. This keeps my credentials close and always on my side.
